SECONDARY RESEARCH

The project was guided by benchmarks from mobile wallets and shaped by local ecosystem limits such as cards, merchants, and device capabilities. I learned that users need clear, confidence-building cues at payment, and that one-handed usability is especially important in checkout moments.

CONCEPT CREATION

Early sketches helped me to explore the structure, hierarchy, and storytelling.

CONSIDERATIONS

After creating the concept, it was crucial to understand ecosystem limits and security requirements. NFC and issuer constraints affected flows, authentication needed clear prompts and failure handling, and prioritization required scope trade-offs to balance feasibility with experience quality.

LEARNINGS

  • In payments, trust is a UX requirement so clarity of state (ready/processing/success/fail) must be designed deliberately;
  • One-handed usability forces better hierarchy (thumb reach + fewer decisions improved speed);
  • Motion is strongest when it explains state change;
